TIKI BAR CULTURE
A Tiki Bar is an exotic–themed drinking establishment that serves fancy cocktails, especially rum-based mixed drinks such as the mai tai or the Zombie cocktail.Tiki bars are often defined by their Tiki culture décor which can include "Tiki god" masks and carvings; bamboo poles, thatch, tropical matting, tapa cloth and tropical fabrics; wooden signs, torches; Hula girl andpalm tree motifs. Beverages are usually served in fanciful ceramic vessels (referred to as "tiki mugs") each Tiki and Tiki decor accessories has been hand carved with great attention to details.

Muted colors, natural exotic materials (such as bamboo, lauhala matting, thatch, Bac-Bac matting, Abaca matting and more), real and/or artificial plants and low-wattage Tiki lighting add to the exotic ambiance of a tiki bar. Many feature indoor/outdoor Tiki masks or totem poles, bamboo fixtures, surf decor, woven grass wall-coverings, and panoramic South Pacific vintage art prints. Some tiki bars have an entertainment stage for live exotica bands or Polynesian dance floor shows.
